Family Garden

The brief for this family garden included two seating areas – one for a dining space for 6-8 people, close to the Edwardian house and another seated area that was to be shaded by a pergola-type structure.

 

These keen gardening clients with three young children, also asked for a small vegetable growing area with a greenhouse, an area of level lawn and a planting scheme that had a ’country feel’.

Given the sloping nature of the outside area, the garden was split into two levels and a concerted effort to repurpose the large amount of existing stone setts was to be included in the design.
